Aim of the course

  • Learn the principles of robotic-assisted TORS procedures.
  • Functionality and ergonomics of the robotic system and instrumentation.
  • Patient positioning, surgical team position and surgical approaches.
  • To learn « tricks and pitfalls » to make TORS procedures more efficient and minimize risk of complications.

Audience

ENT surgeons and nurses.

Attendance is limited to 4 participants (2 surgeons + 2 nurses).

Course overview

This two days program will consist of didactic presentations, TORS cadaver demonstration dissections, live TORS surgery, and discussions.

Day 1:

    2. Tongue Base Resection

  • 01:30 Cadaver lab
    1. Supraglottic Partial Laryngectomy
    2. Resection of Pyriform Sinus
